Research shows that art can help to relieve stress and relax your mind. To help spread positivity and inspiration, we collaborated with artists to create artwork reflecting what our motto—Shine from the inside out—means to them.
This week, artist Amber Vittoria shares her interpretation.
Tell us a little bit about you.
I loved to draw as a child, and as I grew older I realized it was the most natural way for me to communicate. My work is known for bright, bold colors, and aiming to dismantle societal stereotypes set upon women. It has been featured in The One Club Young Guns and Forbes Under 30, amongst others.
What does ‘Shine from the inside out’ mean to you?
Given the current climate, “Shine from the inside out” speaks to how we can control our outlook during times of struggle, and how we can find our own light from within.
How do you support your wellness throughout the day? What does wellness mean to you?
Wellness manifests itself in different ways for me; sometimes it’s going for a walk, other times it’s taking a break and reading.
Why were you excited to partner with Rae?
I love Rae’s positioning on celebrating beauty in our own unique ways, which not only inspired this piece, but also inspired me as an individual.
What are your favorite Rae products?
I use the Beauty Drops every day. They help keep my stressed skin hydrated, which is needed during these times.
What was your process in creating this piece of artwork?
Rae’s theme was immediate inspiration for me; my process begins with playing digitally. I block out large swatches of color, and then refine to more representational forms. Once the digital component feels good, I then print the piece and apply details by hand with ink.
